Your menu is not the place to make customers solve a riddle. Clear navigation helps visitors understand what you offer and where to go next, even when they have never heard of your business before.
Use labels people recognize
Choose words that describe the destination, such as Services, About, and Contact. Creative language can add personality elsewhere without making essential paths unclear. Group related pages logically and keep the main menu focused on the choices most people need.
Make the mobile menu a real priority
Check that the menu opens, closes, scrolls, and exposes submenus comfortably on a phone. Important links should not depend on hover. Test keyboard operation and visible focus, and ensure a fixed header does not cover page headings or form controls.
Support navigation inside the content
Link related services and articles where the connection helps the reader. Use descriptive anchor text and add a table of contents for longer guides when useful. Check for broken links and avoid sending every call to action to the home page when a specific destination exists.
Your next steps
- Use clear destination-based menu labels.
- Group related pages and remove redundant choices.
- Test mobile, keyboard, and submenu behavior.
- Add useful contextual links within page content.
